Research Economist · Agricultural Risk Policy Center, North Dakota State University

I am a Junior Research Economist at the Agricultural Risk Policy Center at North Dakota State University.

I earned a B.A. and M.S. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, followed by a Ph.D. in Agricultural & Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis. My dissertation examined the assertions, evidence, and implications of Right to Repair policies in agriculture and the broader economy. I’ve also published and continue to work on projects evaluating agricultural index insurance. My current research focuses on agricultural risk management, industrial organization, and applied theory and econometrics.

Outside of research, I enjoy reading nonfiction, tinkering on programming projects (currently procedural generation in Rust), and staying connected with family back in Nebraska.
